Logan J. Henke is a conductor & bass-baritone residing and working in Montana’s Gallatin Valley. Logan is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music where he earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting, studying under GRAMMY-Award winning conductor Dr. Donald Nally and Dr. Andrew Megill. Logan earned his first graduate degree, a Master of Education, from Montana State University. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Music Education, a B.A. in Music Technology, and an Honors College Baccalaureate, summa cum laude, all from Montana State.

Logan is the Minister of Music at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Bozeman, MT, where he explores the intersection of choral art and the Episcopal faith in Montana's uniquely beautiful setting. Logan was recently appointed to the faculty of Montana State University’s Honors College, where he is an Assistant Teaching Professor for the College’s foundational course, Texts & Critics. Logan also conducts at Opera Montana, where he manages and directs the Veterans Chorus, a community ensemble which seeks to celebrate military service through song. Logan is a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Logan’s 25-26 season includes conducting Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem during a Mass for All Souls, presenting the anthems of Herbert Howells in ecumenical Evensong services, and assistant conducting Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca with Opera Montana. Sought after as a vocalist in addition to his conducting work, singing engagements include appearances with Roots in the Sky, the San Diego Symphony Chorus, The Skyline Singers (Sheridan, WY), and the role of Sciarrone in Opera Montana’s production of Tosca.

A 5th-generation Montanan hailing from Miles City, Logan and his wife are part-owners and operators of the family cattle operation, Wolf Creek Ranch, in Eastern Montana.
